Closing the project
Even though the closing phase is the last step in the project, there is still a few things that need to be done. The list below summarizes the final steps in the closing process.
1. Hand off to the implementing organization
- Secure an agreement with the sponsor of the project that it is complete. You

- Verify that all project deliveriables have been delivered to and accepted by

3. Close the project:
- The project manager must verify that all project contracts originated for the

b. Document lessons learned during the project: lessons learned during
the project should be documented and kept for future reference.
4. Release Resources
- Staff used in the project should be released back to their parent
identified and transferred to another project team or taken care of in an
appropriate manner.
5. Evaluate the project process
- Perspectives and evaluations from project team members, stakeholders and
the following methods could be used.

b. group panel discussions
c. online surveys
